['Former Drum & Bass Work PT.02. 2005 - 2006']

By now, Rawtekk had transformed quite organically into a club-oriented act that drew their inspiration and influences from such Drum & Bass luminaries as England's Ed Rush & Optical, and Dutch producers Black Sun Empire and Noisia. In particular, the latter, whose cutting-edge productions motivated them to shift more and more towards mixing and production. From their compact Hamburg studio, they pressed on and experimented with new techniques and methods.

Over this time, they received a great deal of prestigious gig requests. Among them was to perform on MS Stubnitz—an 80 meters long ex-East German fishing vessel transformed in 1992 into a 'roving neutral venue,' traveling from its homeport Rostock around the Baltic and North Sea. Physically networking with cities such as Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Newcastle, Hamburg, and St. Petersburg.

The duo also released songs such as ['Kudu Jah'] and ['The Brood'], which showcased their innovative approach to the unique sounds that consistently drove them on. They used the Korg Prophecy to create basses, but then they further processed them in Kontakt, which was the tool of choice at the time to create and refine their self-developed re-sampling method.

Meanwhile, Christine was working on an album for her solo project Eisblume; this took some of her attention away from Rawtekk. As a result, they created many club-oriented tracks with few or no vocals during the period.

This album contains the drum & bass version of ['Soul Socket']. It was released in 2009 as a remix of the original version on the Italian label Urban Pressure. On the ['Former Electronic Work PT.01' LP'], you can find the original electronic art ['Soul Socket'] version; three alternative versions, and an instrumental can be found in the bonus folder.

['Inside Feat Miss K']: A halftime DnB track with layered Amen drums. The circumstances of the vocal recording in a completely unsuitable room with a live microphone (SM58) were so bad that the band had to distort the recording in order to use it at all.
